Dear Students,
I'm thinking of my SJAM and Joe Howe Peeps and I'm missing you all! I know there must be lots of you who are missing going to school, seeing your friends and enjoying other activities that have been cancelled because of COVID-19. That said, it is important that we all follow the rules right now and stay home so that we can help keep our families and community safe. It's normal to feel sad or even angry right now as we try to cope with the changes to our lives. Please talk about your thoughts and feelings with someone you trust, as it's important not to bottle up your emotions - get them out, you really will feel better. You could also sing, write or draw about what you're going through or feeling to help you cope.
Now is the time to be mindful at home! Please help out your family around the house as much as you can. It is very important for others to know that you are thinking about them during this difficult time. No act of kindness is too small. The more kindness you share with others the better you will feel, try it!
Just like at school, I challenge you to do something kind and share it, or other acts of kindness you have done since last week with me! My email is: JMoshett@hrce.ca.
Check out some supports and resources below that may be helpful to you at this time. PLEASE stay safe!
