Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) and Nova Scotia Health (NSH) Public Health Central Zone are committed to championing Healthy School Communities to enhance student well-being and learning. Together we work to champion health enhancing policies and support initiatives in our schools that promote health and access to health services for students. Student health and academic achievement exist hand in hand and ultimately we promote health to facilitate engagement in education and successful learning.
The Healthy School Communities Team is made up a variety of health and education professionals including Health Promoters, Nutritionists, Youth Engagement Coordinators, Youth Health Centre Coordinators, Dental Hygienists, Teachers, Content Consultants, Managers and more!
