As a division of the AVRCE, Educational Technology promotes the use of technology as a tool to support all learners. As technology is embedded in all aspects of society, we work closely with all divisions to ensure technology is delivered in an engaging and thoughtful manner. We work in all corners of the school setting, from achievement of outcomes to administration. Our goals not only focus on the technology, but its ethical and responsible use in the classroom and beyond.
We also work closely with our technical staff in Information Technology (IT) to provide the best tools with as few barriers as possible. The last few years have seen a great deal of change in the technology landscape with more resources going online and more personal devices in the hands of students. The infrastructure and professional support to deal with this new reality remains a challenge - but this also provides a great deal of opportunity as we find new ways to meet the needs of our students.
