Homework Hub
The Nova Scotia Homework Hub to support students in Grades 4-6 and 7-12 Mathematics is now ready for use!
This is an online platform that offers resources and free tutoring for students enrolled in Grades 4-12 Math courses. Students can have a 1:1 session with a tutor, in French or English, via an online whiteboard, or by calling on the phone. Students can also access additional learning resources that include video lessons, practice exercises, quizzes with instant feedback, digital versions of the mathematics textbooks (where available) and a scientific or graphic calculator.
Students can access the Homework Hub by logging in to their gnspes account and clicking on the Homework Hub icon.
Tutors are available for Grade 7-12 students between 5:30-9:30pm Sunday through Thursday. Tutors are available for Grade 4-6 students between 5:30-6:30pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Each tutoring session is a maximum of 20 minutes, although this may be extended by the tutor as needed. All tutors are qualified Nova Scotia teachers or teachers in training.

Homework Hub is a free online bilingual platform that offers math support to students in grades 4 to12, including tutoring at no cost.
Students log in through their GNSPES accounts and have access to courses which they are currently enrolled.
The platform offers 24-7 access to French and English video tutorials, practice exercises, online graphing calculators, online math textbooks and more.
There’s also one-on-one sessions with qualified math tutors in French or English, via online. Students who may not be able to access the internet can call toll free 1-844-243-9428 to connect with the same qualified tutors. To access a tutor over the phone, a PIN number is required.

Reading and writing at home, which provides activities parents can use to get their children reading and writing every day. Additionally, parents can benefit from the reading at home guides for grades Primary to 2 and grades 3 to 6.
The N.B. Department of Education and Early Childhood Development for sharing their resource FLORA: French Language Opportunities for Rural Areas. This is a fun and interactive online platform for Core French grades 4 to 6.
Other French online tools for grades 4 to 12 include speaking and listening, reading, and writing.
