The Nova Scotia Homework Hub to support students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 Mathematics is now ready for use!
This is an online platform that offers resources and free tutoring for students enrolled in Grades 9, 10 or 11 Math courses. Students can have a 1:1 session with a tutor, in French or English, via an online whiteboard, or by calling on the phone. Students can also access additional learning resources that include video lessons, practice exercises, quizzes with instant feedback, digital versions of the mathematics textbooks (where available) and a scientific or graphic calculator.
Grade 9 students can access the Homework Hub by logging in to their gnspes account and clicking on the Homework Hub icon beginning on November 14th, 2017.
Tutors are available between 5:30-9:30pm Sunday through Thursday. Each tutoring session is a maximum of 20 minutes, although this may be extended by the tutor as needed. All tutors are qualified Nova Scotia teachers or teachers in training.
If you must call or text your student, please do so during scheduled breaks (10:35am-10:50am and/or 11:55am-12:35pm) as cell phones are not permitted during instructional time.
In an emergency, please contact the office at 541-8260 and we will call the student to the Office immediately.
If you are dropping off or picking up your student, you must call the main office at 902-541-8260 - You can leave a message on this line 24/7. When you arrive to pick up your child, please contact the Main Office using the buzzer to the right of the doors. Students should check in/out in the Office and sign in/out upon arrival and/or departure.
Thank you.
