Instructor: Mr. Paul Warren (NKEC) pwarren@gnspes.ca
When is this course taught?: The course is designed for students to complete the majority of the coursework independently. There are two asynchronous (do not happen in real-time) lessons per week, each featuring a slideshow with embedded audio and video notes created by the instructor. Weekly resources, including practice quizzes, condensed notes, and thorough answer keys, are provided to support student success.
Suggested Prerequisites: Chemistry 11 is a prerequisite for enrollment in an AP Chemistry class. Also, the recommended mathematics prerequisite is the successful completion of a Math 11 Academic or ADV course due to the mathematical nature of a first-year university-level chemistry course.
Lab Experience: Students travel two times to Northeast Kings Education Centre for all day labs. Lab dates are set at the beginning of the course.
