THE APPLICATION PROCESS
The 2023-24 Cambridge Application is now closed, but will be open on January 16, 2024. Please contact The Assistant Principal for Curriculum, Lisa McLeod, at Westwood to find out if your transfer student will qualify for the Cambridge program in the fall.
Applications are to be completed electronically. If you need assistance completing the application, please contact the Guidance Office at Westwood Middle School at 352-955-6718. All supporting documentation for out-of-district students must be submitted before final consideration for the Cambridge Program can be made. Students should be zoned for Westwood Middle School to be considered or have received a zoning exemption. Zoning exemptions are not specifically provided for students to attend the Cambridge program.
The most successful incoming sixth grade Cambridge student has an exceptional academic profile with the following credentials:
3.6 Cumulative GPA
FSA scores in the 80th percentile for ELA and Math (Level 4 or 5), or other norm reference testing for non-public school students
Exemplary citizenship and attendance
Highly motivated and organized
