Curriculum & EXPLORATORY OFFERINGS
Cambridge coursework at Westwood is available in reading, language arts, math, and science in grade 6-8. The program is designed to to provide the rigor designed by the most highly motivated and achieving middle school students and their families.
Cambridge is a highly selective program for academically advanced students. The typical sixth grade student entering the Cambridge Program has an exceptional academic profile with a grade point average of 3.6 and an average FSA score in the 80th percentile for both ELA and math. Most Cambridge students are also involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. These students display exemplary citizenship and behavior.

Cambridge students are encouraged to participate in all four Cambridge level classes. Students who are being served in the gifted program are served in Advanced Social Studies. To complete their schedules, students also take an exploratory class such as musical theater, robotics, band, Spanish, AVID, computer applications, PE, or art.
