To commemorate the Air Force's birthday, the cadets hike the ramps in the University of Florida's football stadium--the Swamp. They hike .1 km for every year since the creation of the Air Force. For example, on the Air Force's 75th birthday, the cadets hiked 7.5 km.

Keeping with the Air Force's birthday cake cutting tradition, the youngest and oldest cadet from each flight cut a birthday cake. Of course, the entire flight then ate the cake!
