Every year we conduct a 14.2 (sometimes more) mile hike to honor the Bataan Death March casualties and survivors.  The week prior to the hike, Chief teaches a lesson on what happened during the Bataan Death March.  This lesson gives the students an appreciation of why we are honoring those who were forced to endure the actual march.   Each year we have around 50 cadets who participate, but like all of our extracurricular events, this hike is optional.  However, the hike will prove challenging to anyone who takes part and give all who complete it a deep sense of accomplishment.
