Call for Papers

    Most of us are deeply aware of the rapid development of artificial intelligence, but we often forget that we are still trapped in the fog of "post-truth". Driven by AI technology, deep fake messages, disinformation, the stratosphere effect and the manipulation of discourse power continue to challenge people's ability to judge and understand massive amounts of information. The crisis of this era also highlights the importance and value of science education.

   In the face of future challenges in life and society, the key abilities that students need to possess are not only scientific knowledge, but also critical thinking, creativity and innovation, communication skills, and collaboration skills that are often emphasized in STEM/STEAM education. The 41st International Academic Symposium on Science Education (ASET 2025) is themed "Challenges in the Post-Truth Era: Innovating STEM Education and Science Teacher Preparation".  It hopes to respond to the challenges brought by artificial intelligence and the post-truth era from the perspective of science education and future citizen training, and through cross-disciplinary and multi-faceted dialogues and exchanges, jointly explore how science education can cultivate students to become citizens who can make rational judgments in the post-truth era in this wave of AI.
