About Us

The EvoKids Global Initiative is working to support Networked Improvement Communities (NICs) for teaching and learning about evolution in primary and middle school education. In this regard we work with diverse partners across foundational evolution science, applied educational science, and educational practitioners to create the social conditions for a more coordinated and open approach to evolution education research and development for young minds.

We are a project of the Global ESD non-profit for evolution and sustainability education, as part of our EvoLeipzig collaboration with the Department of Comparative Cultural Psychology at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology.

We are also an EvoKE Associated Project, a network of innovative projects seeking to contribute to a world where people understand evolution and can use scientific knowledge and skills to make informed decisions that address societal problems thereby contributing to an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future.

Our project is inspired by, and supportive of, the original EvoKids.de german-language initiative from the Giordano-Bruno Stiftung and the University of Giessen. However, we are an independent project with a more global aim and focus on capacity building within education systems.
