What is Youth United exactly? Youth United is an organization created by fifth grade students at Randolph Elementary School (Crozier, Virginia, Goochland). The idea for Youth United first came from a collaboration with the high schoolers at Goochland High School. After they taught us about marketing and business, we were inspired by their ideas to create an organization dedicated to making a great impact on our community. 

We researched the most significant problems in Goochland. That’s when lightning struck! We assembled Youth United!  We branched into 3 groups: Shelter Helpers, Restoring the River, and Supporting People in Need.  Students could focus on issues that were of interest to them.

Experts in each field have visited and been interviewed by the groups. We have successfully had some experts agree to partner and learned valuable information.

We hope with our ambition and support from others, we will be the start of a ripple that evolves into a great wave.
