Grades PreK-1
All aboard! Calling all Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First Graders. Book your ticket for a transportation journey during STEM intersession. If you want to know what could go wrong when a few kids invent a time machine to travel to their favorite holidays, then this week is for you. Come along with us as we go on an adventure in an imaginary time machine. We will make stops along the way and check out various holidays from around the world while asking questions, thinking critically, and focusing on STEM-skills. This week-long quest for our youngest future engineers will have voice and choice activities, field trips, guest speakers, daily STEM activities, language arts experiences, and tons of fun!

Adventure through literature with a feisty little fella named Skippy Jon Jones, a cat who thinks he is a chihuahua. We will learn about dinosaurs and become paleontologists. We will learn about the Egyptian spinx and pyramids, while wrapping up a few mummies of our own. We'll blast off to explore space, making planets and constellations. And while doing all this, Skippy will teach us some basic Spanish words.

Grades 2-3
Students in grades 2-3 will be engaged in hands-on learning and exploring different modes of transportation in this fun and exciting class! We will be traveling to Richmond Metro Zoo to engage in ziplining and riding on the sky tram. Children will create their own cars, build hot air balloons and even take apart machines and put them back together! We will visit fire trucks, learn about med evac helicopters and see a dump truck up close!
Grades 2-4
Come join us for a fun and engaging week hitting the links. Students will visit a local putt-putt course. They will spend time during the week researching , designing and building their own miniature golf course.
Grades 3-5
Let your creativity shine as we explore the fine arts of music, drama, 2D and 3D art, digital photography, and dance! Students will get fuzzy and imaginative in the 3D felting session as they create unique plush sculptures. They will explore digital photography to create visually stunning creations while exploring nature and the world of digital design. In the 2D art studio, students will experiment with many 2D mediums including drawing, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and mixed mediums. They will also move and groove with introductions to various styles of dance and choreography. Get ready to get fuzzy in the 3D Felting Fun camp course. Felting is a craft that uses colorful fluffy wool in a fun and creative way. You can create furry animals or fanged monsters with horns and hair. Make a strawberry with eyes and a smile, a dinosaur with spines, or even a cuddly penguin. Use your imagination to open up this unique world of adorable plush sculptures, all soft and 3D.
Grades 2-3

Students will study all aspects of transportation through STEM. Students will learn about the aerodynamics, frictional forces, and energy sources that impact different modes of transportation. Projects include building baking soda powered boats, propeller powered cars, paper airplane launchers, and electromagnetic trains.
Grades 3-5
Travel around the world through the kitchen! Students in grades 3-5 will implement and use their knowledge of math, writing, reading, science and social studies to explore and create recipes from around the world.

Join Ms. Lind for a week of hands-on fun that is all about baking! Ms. Lind, an avid home baker will be showing students how to create artistically tasty treats. Students will learn baking tips, tricks, and recipes that they will want to recreate at home for family and friends! Come learn how to read and prep and measure ingredients for each recipe and how to price home-baked goods based on food costs. We will research famous bakers and end our week with a charity bake sale with the proceeds for a local food bank. Grab an apron and sign up if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty!
