Reading

Reading Programme 

Team Kereru has 50 awesome students with a range of reading abilities. To best support their literacy learning; Ms Karl and Matua Atama have strategically cross-grouped them to provide them with targeted learning; that will both scaffold and extend their reading skills. 

Reading will occur Monday-Friday from 9.30-10.40 a.m
Each Reading session will start with The Code- a spelling programme that will support students breaking up sounds in words and dictation.
Students will then break off into small reading groups to follow a reading tumble and have focussed sessions with their teacher.
