What are the parts of the food pyramid
Fruit and vegetables.
Starchy foods, such as bread, cereals and potatoes.
Proteins, such as meat, fish, eggs and beans.
Milk and dairy foods.
Fats and sugars.

The Food Pyramid is designed to make healthy eating easier. It shows the different food groups and how much of each we need to have a healthy diet. Eating the right amount from each food group is called eating a "balanced" diet.
A food is something that provides nutrients. Nutrients are substances that provide: energy for activity, growth, and all functions of the body such as breathing, digesting food, and keeping warm; materials for the growth and repair of the body, and for keeping the immune system healthy.
