Matthew Peterson

Director of Bands

Matthew Peterson is a passionate and highly effective Band Director and Percussion Specialist with over a decade of experience developing award-winning music programs. He currently leads the 6–12 Band Program at Glen Rock Public Schools, where he’s known for building character through music, fostering teamwork, and inspiring excellence. With a master’s degree from the American Band College and deep roots in percussion, marching band, and ensemble leadership, Mr. Peterson blends innovative instruction with a student-centered approach to music education.
