Below you will find tech tutorials on the offers from the Google Suite. All of the options detailed below are already available to all GRPS staff members.

Copying Classroom Pages

Cycle and Semester teachers may find the copying function the most useful. Watch the video on the left to understand the way in which a teacher can copy a Classroom page in order to reuse posts such as assignments, materials, or posts.

Posting Questions and Running Discussion Boards on Classroom

Allowing students to comment on each other’s responses is a valuable form of peer review. Questions can be posed on Google Classroom and assessed for content knowledge. Learn how to do so using the video tutorial above!

Gmail and Classroom Scheduling

This can be useful when attempting to plan future activities on Classroom or setting up emails to be sent at a later time or date.

Calendar Agendas in Classroom

Google Meet

Creating a Meet for a scheduled time in the future is now possible with an easy click on the Meet homepage. Watch the video to the right for details

To the left, teacher can see all of the exciting updates coming to Google Meet this summer into fall. The updates were announced midsummer. Tutorials will be uploaded and staff will be updated when these features are put into practice.

Screen Sharing/Presenting on Meet

The tutorial to the right demonstrates how to present your screen during a Meet session. Presenting your screen, or screen sharing, is helpful during all class Meets.

Embedding Meet link to Classroom

This video above shows the basic process to embed a Google Meet link directly to your Classroom banner. The Meet link will remain permanent and accessible to students entering class unless otherwise adapted by you, the teacher.

Creating a Meet with Google Calendar

Adding Calendars to Sites

The tutorial to the right to learn how to add your Google Calendars to your Google Site. This is helpful as the Calendar can be viewable by parents as they have access to your faculty page/Site. Note: there is a simple click under the 'Insert' option to add a Calendar, but more is needed to make it viewable. Watch the video to learn how!

New Staff Site Template - Use this link to access a template that can be used for staff faculty pages. Open the Site and make yourself a copy. It will become customizable to you. Once done, remember to make it public and share the link with a tech staff member to hyperlink the Site to your webpage.
