What To Expect Upon Returning to School

Change is good! But it also may create some anticipatory anxiety

How do we combat that? Be prepared!

Pack necessary supplies in your backpack

Dress in layers if it is a cold day

Review your schedule

Eat a good breakfast

Get a good night’s sleep: you will be getting up earlier and will need to adapt

Bring a planner: jot down anything you need to remember!

How do I Keep Calm?

Stick with a routine! Make yourself a daily schedule.

Stay connected to peers (clubs, sports, volunteerism, games)

Reach out to family and friends to keep in touch

Limit screen time! As screen time increases, productivity decreases

Be mindful! It’s not just a buzzword, it’s what keeps people focused on today

Increase physical activity! A brisk walk outside helps clear the mind

Eat, sleep, and most importantly...

BREATHE! We are all in this together!
