Instructional Videos
We have been busy creating tutorials for e-learning. Examples include: Noodletools, evaluating resources using TRAAP, and a booktalk. Let us if you’d like us to create one for your specific library-related project.
Northbrook Public Library
If you haven’t already gotten a teacher card from Northbrook Public Library, you can still do so. If you fill out this form, they will send you a temporary library card number so that you can take advantage of their online resources, including resources for research and/or digital books, movies and other downloads.

Click on Flipster.
Type in your GBN google login.
If your access times out, you need to go back to the library page in order to sign in again. (We will check on this to see if this can be changed)

Class Resources Pages
Let us know if you need a class resources page. We’d be happy to gather resources for your classes. Here are two examples to give you an idea: one for the novel Ceremony and one for freshman honors biology.
Difficulties Getting Full text
If you need something and hit a paywall, or can’t get the fulltext from one of our databases, email us and we will contact another library to get it for you.
Searching for Resources.
Like us, you have probably been inundated with emails from different service providers telling you about free resources during the pandemic. Let us know if you are looking for something specific and we will help you sort through them all.

Magazines Newspapers and Journals from Databases
Log in with your GBN ID and password (staff username or student ID).
If unsuccessful, clear cache and cookies “for all time” and try again. Email Kristen or Sherri if you have more problems.
E-books and Audiobooks from Overdrive
It will ask you to enter your Follett ID, but you will log in with your GBN ID and password (staff username or student ID).
