Kindergarten Music

Sound Exploration and Movement Exploration

Students will experiment in music, finding their singing voices and develop a sense of personal space through movement games and song. Units in high/low, fast/slow and loud/soft will be taught by listening, creating and responding to music. Integration of beginning literacy and music is also a focus. Classes meet once per week for 45 minutes.

ASK ME!

In Kindergarten, we continue to explore our different voices and also find new ways to move around the music room.  We are focusing on music tempos and how music can be fast or slow.  When listening to music at home, ask your musician if the music is fast or slow! This skill helps develop listening and focus.  Can they tap the slower or faster steady beat?
