Mentoring Students Through Relationship & Kindness

Our mission....to support and encourage our students to shine as stars! Empower students to make positive choices that will lead to social change, have a confidant that they can trust and have someone they can rely on, experience acceptance for who they are and learn the dynamics of a healthy relationship that brings out their very best character, academics, and behavior.

Our club provides students and mentors the opportunity to participate in pre-planned activities over the course of 8 weeks in a school year to students 8-15yrs of age. Each of our 12 students are matched to an adult mentor from our community. We meet for 4 consecutive Monday nights from 4:30-6:30pm in the Fall and in the Spring.

This program was developed by the Grantsburg School District and designed by Lisa Thom, Karin Reinert and Rebekah Stavne. We launched the STAR Mentorship Program in October 2017.
