Medication Pick-up
Parents, please remember to pick up your student’s medication by Friday, June 5th. Any medications not collected by then will be safely disposed of in accordance with state regulations.
Immunizations for the 2026-27 School Year
Please make sure your student is current on their immunizations for the upcoming school year. (Refer to the Student Immunization Law: Age/Grade Requirements)
7th grade students will need to receive their Tetanus booster and their first Meningococcal Vaccine.
12th grade students will need to receive their second Meningococcal Vaccine.
If you prefer to waive your student’s vaccination requirements, please complete the Student Immunization Form, including Section 4 (Waiver).
Medications for the 2026-27 School Year
If your student uses rescue medications (such as Albuterol, EpiPen, Valtoco, or migraine medications), please ensure we have an up-to-date Medical Consent and Emergency Action Plan specific to your student's diagnosis for the upcoming school year. Also, verify that the medication is not expired.
Students must have both their medical provider and parent/guardian sign off on the Emergency Action Plan that they can self-carry medication.
Health forms are located at the school office. You can request them to be emailed to you, as well.
Health Centers do have stock medications (i.e. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Bacitracin, Burn gel...). A Medical Consent is required yearly if you wish your child to receive over-the-counter stock medications.
Sports Physicals
Please check if your student will need a sports physical for next year’s activities.

Monday, May 4th- Tuesday, June 2nd GMS is hosting a food drive! Many of the families in Grantsburg use our Grantsburg Area Food Shelf, especially in the summer, as many families face food insecurity! Please donate if you can. We would love to help our food shelf stock up for summer!
Here are some ideas:
canned meats, nut butters, shelf stable entrees, condiments, baking basics, snacks, breakfasts, boxed meals, personal care (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc.), dish soap, laundry detergent
Thank you for helping us make an impact in our community and for our students! 💜

Burnett Medical Center is offering FREE athletic physicals to Grantsburg athletes on one of two dates. The first was 5/12/26 and the other is still coming up on 6/3/26, both starting at 5pm.
These need to be renewed every two years so all athletes going into 7th. 9th, and 11th grade will need a physical. (6th graders & 8th graders will need one for next year!)
Forms are available in the GMS office.
Call BMC at 715-463-7253 to schedule yours today!
The day of your physical, you need to:
Show up 10 minutes early
Dress in athletic clothing
Bring your form with the first two pages filled out
If you have any questions about this, please contact Mr. Jansen, our athletic director, at ryan.jansen@gk12.net.
