We have a local church willing to help with school supplies even after the school year starts. Please call GMS for contact information if this would be helpful to your family!
Please label and "unbox" all school supplies before bringing them to school. Unlike elementary grades, we don't have time to get these things organized; we would advise students to have pencil bags prepared and everything out of new packaging and ready to use! *It is always helpful to have names on supplies as the students move around quite a bit!*
If your family has extra school supplies on hand, GMS would gladly take them! Please contact Mrs. Luedtke (debra.luedtke@gk12.net for more information)
Backpacks are to stay in lockers. Lockers should be closed and locked if there's a lock.
Birthday treats are not necessary in 6th-8th grade unless contact has been made and it is teacher approved ahead of time. ALL treats MUST BE STORE bought. Most homerooms do not do a birthday celebration that is typical in elementary classrooms, there just isn't time.
6th- 8th Grade Expectations Slide:
All messages students need should go through the office. Their phone number is 715-463-2455.
Students will bring Chromebooks and chargers home. They can use these for homework, reading, etc. They are expected to plug them in EVERY NIGHT so they start the day with a 100% charge. Find at spot to plug them in nightly. We do not have extra chargers in class so we always advise students to have their chargers with them at school.
The 6-8 grade students are expected to be role models. The hallways will be quiet with students moving efficiently. Passing time should be used efficiently, it is not a social time.
Phones are to be off and in the locker during the school day. All communication between home and school should go through the office. It is against the law to have a cell phone out in the locker rooms.
Water bottles are encouraged- students are allowed water ONLY. Flavored packets are not acceptable.
