This group is not exclusive. I am hoping that more of our beautiful tamariki will step up and join these four amazing Wahine Toa. This page is about celebrating the self-driven, dedicated approach to all learning. It acknowledges the work ethic of all students who earn a place in this auspicious roopu. it is intended to acknowledge the tenacity all students in this roopu consistently display as they uphold the Gisborne Intermediate RISE Values of Respect, Integrity, Self-Management and Excellence.

All students within Te Whanau o Te Moananui-a-Kiwa will be continuously encouraged to step-up and join this group by demonstrating a commitment to their learning;

• through the effective and timely completion of all set tasks
• by aiming for excellence in all that they do
• by managing their time well ensuring that they complete all that they commit to
• by actively seeing opportunities to earn and achieve colours badges
• by pro-actively chasing an opportunity to achieve the Gisborne Intermediate Honours Badge
• by upholding their Mana and the Mana of their whanau by;
  • actively using their manners at all times, and finally by...
  • consistently demonstrating respect through the engagement of effective and consistent manaakitanga of both their own ahua (selves) and of those around them.
