Session #1 (Fall 2023)

GIYB Fall Session has a few different pieces to it. There are FOUR big events: GIYB-on-the-Go, GIYB Tryouts, GIYB FREE CLINICS (skills work) and GIYB 3-on-3. 

GIYB-on-the-Go*

Grand Island Senior High Girls Basketball Staff and GIYB are excited to introduce, the bi-annual event, of the elementary school tour “on-the-go” clinic. These clinics will be hosted at all 13 local elementary schools. You are welcome to sign up to all of them or come for a few. The skills we will be working on are ball handling, rebounding, defense on and off the ball, lay-ups, set shooting, shooting on the move, finishing through defense, pivots, screens, and the LOVE for the game. If your daughter is in grades 2ND-5TH please sign them up. Join us!

Breakthrough Basketball

Have basketball players who want to get coached by a PROFESSIONAL basketball player? BREAKTHROUGH BASKETBALL National Clinic for BOYS and GIRLS grades 6th-12th. Announcing Breakthrough Basketball Shooting & Ball Handling Camp in Grand Island, Nebraska October 21-22, 2023. This is a national coach: Wes Wilkinson. Wes Wilkinson is a former professional basketball player from Grand Island, NE. He was a top 100 prospect and won two HS championships. He went on to play for the University of Nebraska from 2002-06. He is now in the Grand Island High School Athletic Hall of Fame. After graduating from Nebraska with his degree in Business Administration, he had a short stint with the Boston Celtics Summer League playing under Doc Rivers.
