Course Description: In Collaborative Studies, students work in teams for each project as designers, directors, actors and managers. Areas of technical production such as make up, lighting, costuming, and set design are studied as well as a more intense focus on acting for contemporary theatre. Class requirements also include limited performance work and a final project demonstrating skills and knowledge applied in this course.

Topic 1: Collaborative Roles, Production Meeting and running a rehearsal
Topic 2: Focused study in assigned role as designer, actor, director, manager
Topic 3: Performance Techniques: Elementary School Performance Outreach
Timeframe: 4 Weeks "Collaborative Studies 2"
Topic 1: Text Analysis and Collaborative study in assigned role
Topic 2: Performance of selected scenes in one night cabaret style Winter Performance
Timeframe: 8-9 Weeks "Performance in Theatre"
Topic 1: Monologue and Duet Performances
Topic 2: Auditions for Contemporary Theatre
Topic 3: Rehearsal and Polish for an Invited Audience/ Junior High Outreach Performances and workshops
