In 2020 we received an innovation grant from the Gilbert Education Foundation (GEF) to build a school garden. Thanks to the generosity of GEF, Brightview Landscaping, former teacher Craig Elliott, and the community, that project became a reality. We held our first community planting event in October 2020. Our students water and take care of the garden during their recess time. Keep an eye out for future planting and harvesting events. If you have gardening expertise and would like to help out with this project or if you would like to donate items for the garden, please get in touch with me. Current needs are seedlings/transplants and garden decor, such as a sign, plant labels, and windchimes.
