Hello! My name is Mrs. Kolbet and this is my 20th year teaching art at Gilbert Schools. I absolutely LOVE working with 3rd - 5th grade artists! Please feel free to browse the page below to learn more about art at GIS.
Students will attend Art 1x per 5 day cycle for 50 minutes.
4th Grade: 8:25 - 9:15
5th Grade: 9:25 - 10:15
3rd Grade: 10:25 - 11:15
Spring Art Show
Spring Art Show
Each spring students will select one artwork they have made throughout the school year for display. This is the work they feel is their strongest and that they are the most proud of! Our school art show is on display and viewable during spring conferences.
Areas of Focus
Anchor Standard 1: Generate and conceptualize artistic ideas and work. (Creating)
Anchor Standard 5: Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation. (Presenting)
Anchor Standard 11: Relate artistic ideas and works with societal, cultural, and historical context to deepen understanding. (Connecting)
