Band Extravaganza

Gilbert band students from grades 7-12 will perform at pregame of the GHS Varsity Football Game on Friday, October 17th. The performance will begin at approximately 7:15PM.

Performers will be able to get into the game for free with an admission ticket that will be distributed the day of the game.

Students should report to the high school band room at 6:15PM for warm-ups. They can be dropped off just outside the auditorium loading dock on the North side of the building. We will perform with the HS band during pregame, and students are free to leave afterward or stay with family for the game. If you are planning to take your student home rather than stay for the game, you can pick them up the same place you dropped them off at approximately 7:40PM.

All instruments need to go home with students and should be taken out of the band room immediately after the performance! (The HS band room will be locked before the conclusion of the game.) Percussion equipment and large school-owned instruments are okay to leave in the band room.

Attire for the performance:

Tennis shoes/Closed toed shoes
Blue Jeans/Dark pants/shorts
Gilbert or Black/Red T-shirt/Sweatshirt (layer as needed for cooler weather)

Students will need to purchase a flip folder and/or lyre for this performance, that will be theirs to use all the way throughout their band career. See below for the order form - orders are due back with payment by September 16th.
