Classroom Guidance

Classroom guidance is considered part of the sixth and seventh grade exploratory course. This course meets everyday for approximately 6-7 weeks. The curriculum for classroom guidance is based on student SEL data as well as the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Mindsets and Behaviors. To enhance professional development in the areas of counseling curriculum, I also participate in our district's Professional Learning Community (PLC) and AIW (Authentic Intellectual Work) initiatives. I am also a member of the Iowa School Counseling Association.
