The 2024 International Conference on Violence against Men and Boys was a groundbreaking educational and capacity-building event designed to address the often-overlooked issue of violence against men and boys.

"Insight to Action"

With a focus on reframing violence as a public health issue, this conference aimed to equip individuals from the private sector, government, healthcare, social services, and criminal justice with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and respond effectively to various forms of violence experienced by males. Through a heightened awareness of the scope of trauma experienced by males, attendees from across sectors explored the structural determinants of numerous types of violence and their related impact on mental and physical health, educational attainment, criminal justice involvement, revictimization, later perpetration, financial stability, and public safety.  Attendees were guided from insight to action as they engaged with an array of topics, perspectives, and experiences provided through presentations, panels, stories, and research shared by a world-class conference faculty.

This transformative public health intervention was the realization of a years-long vision. The International Conference on Violence against Men and Boys is an initiative designed, developed, hosted and supported by a diverse 20-member volunteer Steering Committee that includes survivors, allies, and leaders from across the globe.

"This was literally the most powerful conference I have experienced - thank you so very much for your vision and sharing so much amazing information. "
