Open Sketchup and sign in. Use your Google Account for Education to sign in.
Open building site folder:
Upload your building site of choice to Sketchup:
Level 1
Use Sketch Up 3D design software to make a house that includes at least:
4 Windows
1 door
A gable (not flat) roof
Color or texture on all the walls and roof
Level 2
Make your ideal inside layout by adding rooms and walls. Your house must include:
a bathroom
bedroom
kitchen
living room
Walls that are at least 6 inches thick
doors between all the rooms
windows that look into the rooms
Level 2: Continue Building
Open your Dream Home in Sketchup.
2a - Select your roof and hide it. ▶️
2b - Make a foundation. ▶️
2c - Use the offset and line tools to create your floor plan. ▶️
2d - Erase all the lines where your walls join. ▶️
2e - Use the push pull tool to raise your walls up. ▶️
2f - Make doors and windows and push them through your walls. ▶️
2g - Use the paint bucket tool to color and texture your walls and floors. ▶️
2h - Unhide your roof. (Edit > Unhide > All) ▶️
Level 3
Use pre-designed models of windows, doors, furniture, and decorations to make your house look its very best.
Your house must include at least 20 new items.
Level 3: Finish Building and Turn In
3a - Open your Dream Home in Sketchup.
3b - Hide your roof.
3c - Go to 3D Warehouse and download models for your house.
3d - Position and scale your new objects. ▶️
3e - Make an animated walkthrough of your house using the "scenes" panel. ▶️
Create 3 scenes total
Scene 1 "default"
Scene 2 "walk"
Scene 3 "look around"
3f - Press play button to play all the scenes while taking a screencast video of your walkthrough and upload it to Google Classroom.
