2026 VISIONS
On my vision board I put multiple photos of things I want or want to travel to. A majority of these photos include going out to eat with friends! Not just that, I also put places I wanted to go to with friends and family. One of my goals was to continue taking care of my amazing cat, Ryu. I also would like to continue helping my friends and family!
Something Honey Green wants to improve on this year is her grades. Improving her grades is really important to her this semester because she is off to high school. Steps to complete her goal are paying attention in class, studying, and getting her homework done on time. She is going to feel successful about bringing her grades up because she achieved her goal.

Juju wants to focus on his grades and his behavior. This is important because he wants to be remembered as a great scholar. He he says that this would enrich his life by helping him get a good job. He needs to turn in all of his assignments on time and study. He will feel very great when he improves and has learned from his mistakes.

Eighth grader Ronnie Evaristo says that one of his biggest goals this year is to try to beat fellow eighth grader Anthony Prak in a 100-meter dash. “It’s important to me because I want to do track and field in high school, and competing against the fastest kid in our school would help me prepare,” he says. Ronnie explains that racing against Anthony would be a real challenge and show him how much he needs to improve. “If I ever beat him, I’ll remember that accomplishment for life!” he explains with anticipation. Ronnie adds that he does not just want to race Anthony, but also learn from him. “I can ask Anthony for a few pointers and tips to run faster. Once I complete this goal, I’ll feel fast and successful.” For Ronnie, this challenge is about pushing himself, learning from someone he looks up to, and building confidence for track and field in the future.

As the new year comes, some of our Eagles have some resolutions and goals. One of our fantastic Ralston Eagles, Emma Vu, has one goal for this year. She says she wants to begin drinking more water. This is important to her because it will improve her health. Drinking more water will help with daily activities and give her more energy. She will be bringing a water bottle to school every day. Emma says she will feel accomplished once she meets her goal.

The arrival of the new year has come which gives everyone a fresh start. Many of our Eagles have goals and resolutions for the new year. One of our spectacular eagles, Michelle Pham, has two main goals. The first goal is to improve her serves in volleyball, and her second goal is to be humble. To reach these goals she will practice more and be selfless. Improving her volleyball serve is important to her because it will help her make it onto the volleyball team with her friends. Being humble will help her grow as a better person. Once Michelle succeeds, she will feel happy and accomplished.

Eighth-grader Steven Nguyen’s New Year’s resolution is to stop procrastinating and reduce stress in his life. He explained that last year was challenging, with a lot happening at once, and he wants this year to feel more manageable. Steven believes that improving these habits will help him become a better person overall. To reach his goal, he plans to stay organized and complete his homework on time. When he succeeds, Steven says he will feel joy and happiness, knowing he has made a positive change in life.

7th grader Mindy Le’s new years resolutions are to go two weeks without drinking matcha and to get straight A’s. Going two weeks without drinking matcha is important to her, because it will help her feel better when she is not drinking a bunch of sugar. Getting straight A’s is also important to her because it will help improve her GPA. To achieve those goals she will study more and try to drink healthier drinks. Once Mindy completes those goals she will feel intelligent and proud of herself.

For this year, one of my goals is to go to a restaurant and try curry udon. It looks unbelievably delicious and I must try it this year, no matter what! Another goal I have is to go to the waterpark with my friends this summer. My last goal for this year is to travel to Japan!

The New Year has officially arrived, and all our eagles are trying to accomplish their resolutions. One of our Ralston 8th-grade eagles, Annie Lee, has told us her New Year's resolution, which is to learn how to rock climb. This is important to her because she enjoys learning new skills and achieving her goals. She plans to take a few steps to make sure she accomplishes this resolution, she will practice continuously and not give up until she has completely learned. If Annie completes this goal, she will be extremely proud of herself and accomplished.

As the new year begins, many students are setting goals for themselves. Eighth grader Tyler Nguyen has made his New Year's resolution to improve his grades at school. Tyler says this is important to him because he does not want to fail school and stress over grades. By doing better in school, he believes he will have more time to do things he enjoys. To achieve his goal, he plans to pay closer attention in class, take more detailed notes, and study more effectively. Once he completes his goal, he says he will feel really good about himself.

8th grader Linda Reyes is eager to explore new hobbies while sharpening the skills she already has, such as skateboarding and playing guitar. This goal is important to her because she wants to focus on personal growth and spend less time on her phone. By stepping outside and trying new things, she hopes to find more activities that bring real excitement to her life. These new habits will help enrich her daily routine by giving her more things to do that bring her joy. To reach this goal, she plans to actively discover fresh interests that she can pursue in her free time. She also intends to dedicate regular time to practicing her current talents so she can see visible progress. Having these hobbies will also give her a deeper sense of accomplishment. Ultimately, Linda will feel much better about herself once she sees how much she has grown through her hard work.

Sonia wants to improve her attention span by reducing her phone screen time. Improving her attention span is important because it helps her take control of her time. Instead of just being on her phone and scrolling on social media or texting her friends, she can learn how to stay focused on what she actually wants to do for the day. It can help her to finish homework faster, become a better listener and actually be “there” when friends are talking to her, and enjoy a movie or a book without getting distracted and bored every five minutes. She can complete her goal by putting her phone in another room while working or stop doing many things at the same time. She will feel proud of getting things done easier and faster each time.

For my vision board this year, I would like to accomplish a few things. I would love to attend a Bruno Mars concert with my friends, since he is having a tour soon. Next, my top three travel destinations are Japan, Hawaii, and Catalina Island. Most importantly, I want to go to Universal Studios, shopping, and to a cafe with my best friend. -Yvonne Dinh 8th
A great scholar and student is Sofia Ramirez Ramirez, she is in 8th grade going on to high school. Her new year's resolution is to try harder in school. Sofia is a dedicated student and will not give up. Her new year's resolution is to keep her grades up and turn in work on time. She believes that trying harder will prepare her for high school. Sofia said that she will sleep earlier and study to improve.

A year has passed and now we are transitioning to 2026. What are some New Year's Resolutions Ralston scholars have planned? One goal stated by Angelina Nguyen (7th) is to get her grades up and earn extra credits. It is important so she does not fall behind on her work. This goal will help her stop procrastinating at the last minute. She plans to finish her homework on time and ask teachers for extra credit opportunities. Once she completes this goal, she believes she will feel sophisticated and proud of her accomplishment.

As the new year is here many Ralston eagles have new resolutions! Thanh Pham a 7th grade scholar New Years goal is to get a 4.0 GPA. A 4.0 GPA is important to Thanh for high school and honor roll. This goal will benefit her when she goes to apply to colleges. The steps Thanh is going to take to achieve her goal is to finish all of her homework and have no missing assignments! Thanh says that when she completes this goal she will feel very happy and accomplished.

For my vision board this year, I really want to try new things. First, I want to go to a Daniel Caesar concert and meet up with friends, especially to Ivrine Spectrum. Secondly, I want to travel to Vietnam and Paris, since they are such beautiful places. Lastly, I would love to try birria tacos and make tiramisu. - Christy Tran 8th
8th grader Kaydence SantaMaria says that she wants to improve her socializing skills much more. Socializing is important to Kaydence because she has always struggled with it. She feels that improving this skill will help her grow and become more confident when interacting with others. Working on socializing will enrich her life because she believes it will help her feel better about herself and improve the way she talks to people. Some steps Kaydence plans to take to reach this goal include going out more often and making an effort to start conversations first instead of waiting for others to do so. By taking these steps, Kaydence feels that she will gain confidence, feel better about herself, and improve her ability to communicate with others.

A 7th grader Mia Quezada said that her new years resolution is to try not getting so many missing assignments,its important to her because she dose not want to have bad grades and she care about them.This will enrich her life because she can get a good job.The steps she will take to do this is by getting all her work done in class and turning her work in on time.She said she will feel great when she reached this goal
