Social and Emotional Learning

What is social and emotional learning?

In GGUSD's strategic plan, we take guidance fro the Collaborative from Academic and Social Emotional Learning or CASEL for the best practices for integrating social and emotional learning (SEL) into our schools. CASEL defines SEL as:

The process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. (CASEL.org)
