SUNRUN UPDATES
6/2/2026
A new function has officially gone live in Sunrun ONE that automatically updates the Primary Signer name on the contract.
This function allows reps to update the Primary Signer contact information in the "Checkout" section in ONE, and it automatically updates the corresponding contract. Consequently, reps no longer need to generate a new Offer/Proposal after updating the Primary Signer at the time of signing.
**This function is live only in Sunrun ONE, it is not live in the Sunrun Partner/Ops Portal.** Click the link below to watch the video
Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, our presra@sunrun.com and postsra@sunrun.com emails will no longer be monitored and/or in use.

6/8/26: Mandatory FIC & *NEW* Photo Requirements
Effective June 8, 2026, all previously ‘Optional’ FIC questions will become required.
Mandatory FIC and Detailed Photo Requirements
Dynamic Photo Requirements: The system will now automatically set a minimum photo count based on the number of installed equipment approved at NTP (e.g., two inverters require two photos).
Main Service Panel (MSP): Photo with the deadfront removed, showing all wiring/connections. If the Point of Interconnection (POI) is in a subpanel, photos of both the subpanel and MSP are required.
Consumption CTs: Close-up photo of installed current transformers (CTs).
Internal Wiring Photos: Required photos of completed internal wiring for the Inverter and AC Disconnect(s).
Point of Interconnection (POI): Photo clearly showing the OCPD breaker or fuse with a legible amp rating.
MSP Label: Photo of the MSP label, if applicable.
Design Consistency: Key project values (Azimuth, tilt, array count, system size, production) must align across the approved design planset and SFD.
Permit Requirement Expansion & Early Submit Functionality
Effective June 8, 2026, proof of permit is now required in all markets. A new Permitting section will be added to the FIC template for submission.
Required Permit Details:
Matching site address
Permit issuance date
Details referencing PV scope, electrical/building final, or similar language
Please note: If multiple permits are required by the AHJ, all relevant permits must be uploaded.
Early Submit Functionality:
This feature allows the Permitting section to be submitted and reviewed independently before the rest of the FIC is complete.
The final FIC submission is blocked until the Early Submit (Permitting) section is approved.
Important Reminders & Next Steps
Key actions and resources for a smooth transition to the June 8, 2026 enforcement date.
Submit currently ‘Optional’ items early to receive coaching feedback before the June 8 enforcement.
Not all requirements described will apply to every project. Applicable requirements will continue to vary based on project configuration, equipment type, and jurisdiction.
Ensure you and your teams are prepared for this transition.

4/27/26: Sunrun ComEd Customers (Illinois)
All ComEd customers who do not yet have SRA (Stage 7) will need to follow the steps as reviewed in our Webinar last week. Here are the requirements/steps listed below for your reference:
ComEd Customers will need to sign the Customer Acknowledgement Form at the time of contract signing. The signed form will need to be uploaded to the Working Documents Section when submitting for SRA.
The customer will then need to enroll in BES-H at THIS LINK. The rep/installer can do this on the customer's behalf. The email confirmation of enrollment will be sent to the customer 1-3 weeks after submitting enrollment.
IF they have a 3rd part supplier, this will need to be cancelled ASAP, as the customer cannot be enrolled in BES-H with a 3rd party. The easiest way to do this is have the customer call ComEd at 1-888-202-7787 to cancel. This should be done at the time of signing up and/or when scheduling the site survey.
3/1/2026: NEW COMMISSIONING REQUIREMENTS EFFECTIVE 4/1/2026
As part of our continued rollout and operationalization of the Foreman Installation Checklist (FIC), we are writing to share an upcoming update to Milestone Approval Requirements.
Effective April 1, 2026, all commissioning section photos will become required and will no longer be designated as Optional. The FIC template will be updated accordingly to reflect this change, and the review team will begin rejecting FIC submissions that do not satisfy the updated requirements.
When the FIC was first launched, certain photo requirements were temporarily designated as Optional to provide time to become familiar with the new tool and operationalize the necessary changes. Since the initial rollout, these Optional requirements have remained visible to allow for test submissions and familiarization to prepare for full enforcement.
To support this change:
Please review the comprehensive commissioning requirements, available here. This guide will serve as a supplement to the existing Sunrun Installation Photo Checklist.
This update represents the next phase in a broader, progressive effort to require all FIC photo submissions and fully eliminate optional requirements.
As a reminder, all Optional photo requirements today can already be submitted for review and coaching. We encourage you to continue submitting these photos ahead of the April 1, 2026 effective date to help ensure a smooth transition and alignment with future expectations.
We appreciate your continued collaboration as we work together to strengthen installation quality, consistency, and efficiency.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sunrun Account Manager.
Best,
Sunrun Affiliate Partner Team
2/1/2026: All Sales Users will need to complete the Welcome Call via Call Pilot
We’re excited to launch a new Verification Call (VC) option this week! The updated process uses Call Pilot and will appear on your ONE checkout page after the Read and Sign documents are completed. The new VC is a quick video survey that works on any device with a front-facing camera.
Key Tips:
Download the Call Pilot app on the App Store or Google Play.
App calls upload in under a minute, while browser calls can take up to 15 minutes. The app also saves calls if service is poor. (Computer browser uploads are not delayed.)
Remote sales: You can copy and send the generated URL for customers to complete on their own. A built-in text/email option is coming soon.
NY Reps: You must still leave the home during the VC. You may start the call, then hand the device to the customer before exiting. These calls will be audited for compliance.
If you are prompted to enter an account number, please ignore. This is used by Call Pilot only and the VC URLs will still open without any account numbers provided.
The new VC process features simplified, more customer-friendly questions and account-specific links for a smoother sales experience. We’re confident this tool will streamline your workflow and improve the customer experience. If you have questions after reviewing the materials, please contact Sales Support at (888) 840-7180.
The call-in VC bot will remain available through January to support the transition period.
Best,
Sunrun Affiliate Partner Team
