My name is Jackie Gutierrez. I have 3 outgoing daughters that attend Emerson ages 10, 5, and 4. My family moved here from Texas 2 years ago to be closer to family. I currently serve as a board member on the Head Start policy committee and I'm also a member of the PTA at Emerson. I enjoy being involved in school meetings and events and being a positive role model for my kids.

My name is Brittany James and I am a mommy to three boys, Ricco (Age 8, Second Grade), Britain (Age 5, Kindergarten), and Reign (Age 3, Head Start). I have two children with a disability and I am always searching for knowledge to make sure that I stay updated on their conditions. When I'm not chasing my little ones around, you can find me crafting away. I love to create things and I am always on TikTok looking for a new project to get started on. I am also going to school at Long Beach City College with hopes of becoming a Registered Nurse. I'm on track to graduate in the Spring with a degree in Biological Sciences. I am finishing my first term on the Emerson School Site Council and would love to continue to be a part of it because I feel that I can bring diversity, innovative ideas, and creativity to the community. I am also Vice President of Fundraising for Emerson PTA. I want to be a part of my children's education as much as possible. I want to do all that I can to keep my children and community safe. Berenice Lobato
My name is Bernice Lobato. I have two girls in fifth grade, one in fourth grade, and a son in tenth grade. I have a lot of experience on major committees at Emerson: I've served on this SSC committee for four years, I've been part of the ELAC for many years, I've been secretary and chair of DELAC (District English Learner Advisory Committee) for two years, and I am currently the interim president of the DELAC, representing Emerson at the district level. I have also served as a historian for two years and am currently the president of the Emerson PTA, a group that has provided all of the most fun events for the last three years and has put on successful fundraisers to support our school.
I have enjoyed being involved with the SSC and would like to continue to be a part of it.

As the parents of two English learners, I am honored to have the opportunity to participate in the election of the School Site Council (SSC), and would like to know more about the school plans and arrangements. The school creates a good learning and living environment for students to grow up to be healthy and happy. I guess that's what every guardian or parent expects as well. Therefore, I want to be a member of the council, and hope that Emerson School will become even better!

Como padres de dos estudiantes de inglés, me siento honrada de tener la oportunidad de participar en la elección del Consejo Escolar (SSC) y me gustaría saber más sobre los planes y arreglos escolares.
