Learner Profile Attributes lessons are taught through advisory classes twice weekly. Lessons provide engaging curriculum during which students practice interpersonal and intrapersonal skills focused on the GISD Learner Profile attributes of building respectful relationships, communicating and collaborating, and practicing personal responsibility. Tippit counselors also created an online student check-in called the "Mood Meter," providing an opportunity for students to practice emotional & social awareness and self-advocacy, and to request a check-in from a counselor when needed. Check out our Mood Meter below!
Stay Safe! Georgetown ISD School Safety Program is provided for students and parents to anonymously report or notify school officials of situations that may pose a danger to our students or on our campuses.
Our goal is to ensure the safety of each of our students. If you are concerned about someone, please fill out this form and an administrator and/or counselor will be notified about and investigate the situation. To make a report, click here.
Please note that Stay Safe! is not monitored 24/7 or when school is not in session. If there is an emergency, please call 911 or reach out to one of the resources below.
Students needing additional or ongoing support may be referred by the school counselor for School-Based Therapy (SBT).
SBT therapists collaborate with staff and families to determine needs and goals. Direct Service means that the student will attend therapy at school. Students typically attend 6 to 12 direct SBT sessions. Specific goals are set and progress is monitored throughout. Upon completion of SBT, your student's therapist will communicate further recommendations.
