Hello! I am a former middle school math and science teacher, and I joined GISD in 2012 as a teacher at Tippit. After that, I became a counselor, serving students and families at Benold Middle School and Georgetown High School. I'm so happy to be back to my GISD "home" and look forward to using my experience with personal graduation planning to help our Titans plan for their futures! My husband and I moved to Georgetown in 2007. We have two daughters and two fur buddies named Moose and Mardi. I am a UT grad (Hook 'Em!) and a huge UT football fan. I also love yoga, home remodeling, traveling, and spending time with my family. My family and I live by this mantra: We have all been given unique gifts. We should find out what they are, embrace them, and use them to serve others and make this world a better place!

I am a proud member of the Georgetown High School Class of 1982 and am glad to be working as a counselor at Tippit Middle School. James Tippit was my 9th grade Biology teacher! I began my career teaching Language Arts at Bastrop Middle School and coaching tennis at Bastrop High School. After my return to Georgetown, I taught English at Georgetown High School and started the PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program. I have since taught at the Learning Tree Preschool, worked as a Special Education Assistant and Kindergarten teacher at Cooper Elementary, and worked as a counselor at Pickett Elementary School. I am married and have 3 children, two of whom are GHS graduates and one who will be. I enjoy exercising, running at Lake Georgetown with my dog, traveling and spending time with my family.
