Hello! I have been a counselor at Tippit Middle School since 2015 and am so proud to work at a school named for my former teacher. James Tippit was my 9th grade Biology teacher! After graduating from Georgetown High School and The University of Texas, I began my career in education teaching Language Arts at Bastrop Middle School and coaching tennis at Bastrop High School. After my return to Georgetown, I taught English at Georgetown High School and started the PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program. I have since taught at the Learning Tree Preschool and several elementary schools in Georgetown. I am married and have 3 adult children, all graduates of Georgetown High School. I enjoy exercising, hiking around Lake Georgetown with my dog, traveling and spending time with my family and grandchildren.

The Tippit Middle School Counseling Department fully supports the GISD mission statement of inspiring and empowering every learner to lead, grow, and serve. With this mission as our foundation, we have built a comprehensive counseling program with a multi-tiered system of supports to meet the needs of ALL students.
