I am originally from Canada, but have lived in Texas for most of my life. After graduating from Westwood High School in Austin, Texas, I earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Sul Ross State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University Central Texas. I have been teaching math for 22 years. I have taught Algebra One, Geometry, Algebra Two, Precalculus, Topics in Mathematics, Advanced Independent Study in Mathematics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. I serve as the G.H.S. Math Department Chair. I coach the three UIL Math events: mathematics, number sense, and calculator applications, and computer science. I am the Mu Alpha Theta, math national honor society sponsor. I am a professor of mathematics at ACC (Austin Community College). I was honored to be the 2021 Georgetown ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, as well as the 2021 Georgetown High School Teacher of the Year. I earned the award for Outstanding Master of Education student from TAMUCT. I am one of three state finalists for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (PAEMST). I have spoken for hundreds of math teachers across Texas. I enjoy sharing what I have learned with other educators. I have served as the director of the Austin Area Calculus and Statistics Teachers, a group of more than 80 teachers. I am an AP Calculus Reader (grader). I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.

I am married and have four children, two bonus children, and two grandchildren. My hobbies are cooking, reading, playing cards, volunteering, doing yoga, and spending time with my family.
