About Us

Ms. Leckrone brings over 6 years of Education experience to the Forbes Team. She holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Evangel University. She received her Masters of Science in Counselor from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Ms. Leckrone has her Professional School Counselor certification. 

Ms. Leckrone has two fur babies, cats, Kitty (4) and Luna (2). Amanda enjoys outdoor activities that include: biking, swimming, and going to the lake. Ms. Leckrone is originally from Missouri and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to pursue her Master's degree. After three wonderful years in Corpus Ms. Leckrone wanted to expand her horizon which brought her to Georgetown, Texas. She is eager and excited to be with Georgetown ISD as a Forbes Falcon.

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Certified School Counselor with over 20 years of experience in education and counseling services. She holds a B.S. in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin (HOOK ‘EM!) and a M.S. in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Laura is a servant leader who is passionate about building relationships with students, families, and staff and providing them with the support they need to reach their goals. She believes it takes a village to support today’s students, and she strives to help them identify and sharpen their strengths to better themselves and their community.

Laura is married to her husband, Jeff, and together they have two sons: Brett (13) and Graham (11). Laura enjoys gardening, cooking, DIY projects, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Laura and her family moved to Georgetown, TX nearly 8 years ago, and they are blessed to call Central Texas “home.”
