Counselors (in collaboration with campus & district leadership) work to support student transition to adulthood by providing opportunities to develop respect, responsibility, perspective, and perseverance to develop successful graduates and lifelong learners. We strive to provide academic support, future planning, and consultation with parents and staff to ensure a successful educational experience for all stakeholders.
EVHS counselors are part of the campus Leadership Team, serve as members of the campus Design Team, and even serve as representatives for our campus at the district level. EVHS counselors work closely with campus administration and district level support to advocate for the social, emotional, and academic needs of students. We also work hard to provide education and resources to staff as leaders and professionals on campus in the field of mental health. Likewise, EVHS counselors provide resources and supports to parents and families. EVHS counselors also collaborate with other secondary counselors in the district to better align programs and improve programing for all K-12 students.
