What is Space Law?

Our opening event each academic year is the General Student Body Meeting, where we present the Space Law Society to new members and welcome back old ones. During this event, students are welcome to get to know each other better and connect over our shared love for outer space!

This event usually takes place over food and drinks somewhere close to the Georgetown Law campus in DC, however, the General Student Body Meeting for the 2020-2021 academic year had to be held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To make up for the lack of in person engagement, we organized a virtual social hour session in which we gave a general overview of what Space Law truly is, and advised students on the steps one has to take to become a space lawyer, as well as other possible career paths within the space law and policy world.
