The Georgetown University campus is compact in size, making all buildings quickly accessible by foot or wheelchair. You will also have many options for transportation when navigating around metropolitan Washington, DC.
Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS)
The Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) serves students, faculty, staff, and visitors going to and from the University Main Campus, the Law Center, Dupont Circle, Rosslyn, and Arlington. The GUTS schedule can be viewed on the web.
Students who reside in residence halls, University-owned townhomes, in the District of Columbia, or in the North Arlington area are not authorized to obtain on-campus parking decals. Depending on availability, students living off campus and outside of the District of Columbia and North Arlington areas may be able to purchase parking decals for satellite parking.
Outdoor racks are provided on campus for students’ bicycles, and bicycles may only be parked on those designated racks.
Two docking stations for this region-wide bicycle sharing system are located near Georgetown. One is located just outside the front gates at 37th St. and O St., and a second is at 34th St. and Wisconsin.
In 2019, Georgetown has joined the Capital Bikeshare Universities Program, which allows students to obtain a Capital Bikeshare Annual Membership for $25. To access the $25 Annual Membership, please follow the instructions found on the Office of Transportation Management's website.
