The Georgetown Bipartisan coalition (GBC) is Georgetown University's largest bipartisan political organization with a mission of bridging the divide between individuals and institutions from all sides of the political spectrum.
GBC is an OPEN ACCESS club that anyone at Georgetown University can join and participate in! Our general membership consists of anyone who wants to join: sign up for our mailing list and GroupMe (found in our Linktree), then you're in! No formal application nor interview needed.
Once you've joined GBC members are invited to (and encouraged to attend) all club programming.
GBC hosts a variety of events throughout the year to bring people of diverse political backgrounds together to discuss the policy issues that matter most to our country.
From structured roundtables on topical issues with the Georgetown Democrats and the Georgetown Republicans to casual dinner discussions with our members, to field trips into DC, we have something for everyone.
Through these events and our mission, we hope to create a space of civil dialogue for students to feel safe to share their perspectives and opinions.
Our Executive Board is comprised of a variety of Georgetown students from all political backgrounds, years ranging from first-years to seniors, and schools. Within our board, we have subcommittees, which are comprised of subcommittee members.
Our Subcommittees help with specific tasks a board member might need (ex: planning for the Bipartisan Summit, booking Site Visits, or flyering at Red Square). We regularly and frequently are looking for people to fill positions on our board and our subcommittees, so keep a look out on our communications to see when a position opens up!
