The quality and rigor of our curriculum are continually enhanced by our dedicated curriculum development and instructional design team to ensure that our programs meet the highest academic standards and respond to industry needs. The curriculum structure is designed to provide a comprehensive education experience for students. The structure is divided into:
3 Core Courses that are specific to the program. Students must complete the core courses in their first (or second) semester at FuEL.
4 Electives related to the student's focus of interests. Students can choose from different disciplines and colleges in the area.
2 Semester-Long Projects that will allow students to apply their knowledge, collaborate, and problem-solve real-world issues.
Penultimate semester-long research project: Students will engage in a research projects for one semester and will be mentored by a professor.
Last semester-long hands-on project: Students will engage in a hands-on project for one semester and will be mentored by a professor or partner organization. Students will have the opportunity to work locally, within the Unites States, internationally, or online.
This is an example of what the curriculum structure would look like for Full Time graduate students.
Students can complete the program Full Time (4 semesters), Part-Time (5-7 semesters), or Accelerated (3 semesters).
Students will engage in semester-long projects that allow them to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. These projects can be undertaken locally, within the U.S., or internationally, providing opportunities for meaningful engagement with communities and stakeholders.
Our programs offer both online and in-person delivery modes. Curriculum and project requirements remain the same. Attendance for both in-person and online students in all the classes is mandatory. Faculty allow exceptions on a case-to-case basis.
In-person - Students attend the courses on the Washington D.C. campus. All our classrooms are active learning classrooms (ACL) equipped to provide synchronous and collaborative learning experiences.
Online - Students attend courses virtually via Zoom. Since our classes are ACL, online students can collaborate with other online students, in-class students, and faculty in each class.
