Arrival
You will be responsible for securing your own travel to the museum. Please note that check-in at the Hyatt Regency is at 4pm, so you may need to leave your bags at the front desk. Check-in at the Kimpton George is at 3pm.

Walking: The NMAAHC is a 30-minute walk from the Hyatt Regency.
Metro: the Federal Triangle Metro Station is the closest Metro station to the museum and runs the orange, silver, and blue lines. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk from the Federal Triangle Metro to the museum.
The Metro Trip Planner website may be helpful in planning your transportation to and from the museum.
When you arrive at the museum, please enter through the group entrance, located on 15th St. and Madison Drive (closest to Washington Monument), not the main museum entrance. The group name is “Center for Juvenile Justice Reform.”
You will not be admitted before 2:45pm, but can enter the museum any time after 2:45pm until 4pm. The museum closes at 5:30pm.
Prior to entering the museum, you will present your Timed Pass as a printed copy or on your phone.
Expect to pass through a security screening. Avoid bringing large bags to get through security screens quickly. Visitors may not have more than two bags and any bag larger than 16 x 20 inches is prohibited.
There are a limited number of lockers available on a first come, first served basis. Bring a quarter to use the locker; once finished, the quarter is refunded to you.
General Visit Information
Groups of ten or more will be split into groups of 10 so that everyone can enjoy their time in the museum.
Prepare to stand in line to enter the museum and some exhibitions. It is best to wear comfortable shoes.
Be aware that outside food and drinks cannot be consumed, under any circumstances, in the museum, including the Sweet Home Cafe. The only exception is you can bring a refillable water bottle and drink from it outside the exhibition spaces.
