Robert Bies
Professor
Robert J. Bies is Professor of Management and Founder of the Executive Master’s in Leadership Program at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Professor Bies’ research focuses on leadership, the delivery of bad news, organizational justice, and revenge and forgiveness in the workplace. Dr. Bies is a co-author of the book, Getting Even: The Truth About Workplace Revenge—And How to Stop It. He serves on the editorial boards of several scholarly journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, International Journal of Conflict Management, and Negotiation and Conflict Management Research. In addition, Professor Bies has received various awards for his outstating educational efforts including the Best Teacher award at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management as well as several awards from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
