Pride Club
Pride club is a supportive and inclusive space for people to be themselves. It takes place every Wednesday after school in EN14. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Pastoral Support
If you would like to speak to someone about your identity or sexuality, visit the pupil support centre to speak to one of the Pastoral Support Managers. You can also speak to the well-being team. Drop in sessions take place every break time at the upper site well-being hub.
Reporting LGBT+ phobic language/incidents
LGBT phobic language and behaviours are not tolerated at George Spencer Academy. If you have heard or witnessed LGBT+ phobic language or behaviour, please report it to a member of staff as soon as possible
Rainbow Flag Award
In 2023 the school achieved the Rainbow Flag Award. This is a national award for schools that focuses on positive LGBTQ+ inclusion and visibility. Pride Club were essential in helping to understand how we can be more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community and helping to promote the important work that has been done.
