Where does ACE get their budget from?

Short Answer
The ACE budget is comprised of a piece of the student mandatory activity fee that all students pay as it is included in all SUNY Geneseo students' tuition.
Long Answer
The SUNY Geneseo Student Association is the only campus organization of which every undergraduate student is a member. Included in student tuition is a mandatory student activity fee of $107 each semester that is combined with programming funds and allocated to support student organizations, services, and programs.
The student activity fee (Refereundum) is voted on every two years on whether it should be mandatory or voluntary. This fee funds over 40 clubs, programs, and services on campus.
ACE then receives a portion of the budget based on how much the previous ACE Chair requests, how much of the ACE drawing fund is spent in the previous fiscal year, and finally the amount that the SA executive board approves.

How do I know my budget?

Your weekly incumbrance report, with full budget information, is sent to your club email by Kathleen (Kate) Rebban, Director of Programs, Personnel, & Finances.

How do we use the ACE drawing fund?

Only member organizations of ACE may submit a proposal.
If a program is already stated in ACE organization’s budget, they may only submit a proposal for funding if they are collaborating with another ACE organization
Use of the ACE budget must be with the intent of supporting cultural initiative programs/events that are run by an ACE group, unless three ACE organizations are collaborating for the program/event.
Use of the ACE Budget can only fund cultural initiative programs/events that are not already outlined in their SA Budget.
